7 Common Mistakes Before Buying AC, Don’t Buy AC before Reading this

Summer is almost here. Regrettably, according to specific reports, the month of February 2023 was the warmest in the last 100 years. This summer, a nice air conditioner is providing us with relief. A good air conditioner may make our summers much more tolerable. Yet one thing to consider is which AC might be beneficial to you. So here is Technical Dost to assist you in making this decision.

There are basically 7 main points to be considered before buying AC, which is mentioned below:

  1. Capacity

There are so many sizes available, like 1 ton, 1.5 ton, and 2 ton. And if your room is about 100–120 sq. ft., then 1 ton is enough for you. Other facts also matter, such as which floor you live on. If you live on a high floor, then you need a high-capacity AC. And if your room has too much direct sunlight, in that case, you have to get an AC of more than 1 ton. And if too many people sleep in that room, then you need a high-capacity AC according to the number of people before buying AC.

  1. Power saving rating

Ratings are very important because they can affect your electricity bill. 5 stars mean high energy saving, and 1 star indicates low energy saving. You can simply get any AC from 3 stars to 5 stars. It depends on how long you are going to use your AC. If you are going to use the AC for 4-5 months, then you can simply get a 3-star AC, but if you are going to use the AC for almost 8–9 months, then you need a 4-to-5-star AC.

  1. Split AC or Window AC

Split AC or Window AC

Well, technically, both split AC and window AC give the same cooling power. Some people think that window AC gives more cooling power, but in reality, it’s not true. However, the window AC takes more space, so you need to cut a special place to fit it, but split AC doesn’t take much space. You can simply hang it anywhere.

Window AC makes more noise than split AC. In my opinion, split AC is the better option. However, if you are on a tight budget, you can opt for a window AC. They are more budget-friendly.

  1. INVERTER AC or Non Inverter AC

Do you want to know what is the difference between Inverter AC and Non-Inverter AC? This is the compressor. Inverter air conditioners have a multiple-speed compressor, while non-inverter ACs have a single-speed compressor.

The Inverter AC compressor runs at variable speeds all the time. It adjusts or controls the speed as per the cooling requirement of the room. Once the room reaches optimum temperature, the compressor motor reduces its speed, controls the flow rate of the refrigerant, and saves energy.

  1. Copper or aluminum

Go for the copper one. It is strong and easy to clean. And eventually, it is easy to repair in the event of any problem. You won’t have any problems with that. It is of good quality. And don’t go for aluminum, as it’s low quality before buying AC.

  1. Noise level

Noise levels set a limit for how loud an air conditioning unit can be when used in residential areas. Most residential AC units are around 72-82 decibels when they’re running. Air conditioners can be an issue for homeowners and neighbors, so there are noise level restrictions, although these levels are contingent upon location.

  1. Smart AC

I would really like to say don’t buy AC in the name of Smart AC. because you will end up paying a really high amount for nothing. You just need to buy a socket that can make your AC smart AC for just Rs 1000. You can order it from Amazon. And after this, you can simply command your AC with Alexa or something else.
