WhatsApp voice messages are getting even better

The introduction of new features to WhatsApp is not something brand new. The company is constantly developing new features for its customers over the course of the past year. Quite a few new functions have been added to the voice message.

It is likely that WhatsApp’s goal is to become the voice of the people. However, all of the Voice message features that have been added to this platform in the past few months are pointing in that direction.  In terms of the voice message, the features connected to it have been slowly rolling out.

It may come as a surprise to learn that WhatsApp voice messages weren’t introduced until 2013. And that the first significant update to the feature only took place in 2014. WhatsApp gave its users the option to preview voice messages before sending them. Before this innovation, WhatsApp voice messages could only be recorded and then forwarded. If the message was not delivered or something else went wrong, the only option was to play it within the chat window itself.

To put it another way, the message that you sent could not be checked before it was sent. Now that the new feature has been implemented, it is possible to preview WhatsApp voice messages before sending them to the recipient.

Following that, there will be a flood of new features. We came to the conclusion that it would be more beneficial to explain everything in one go as opposed to breaking it up into its individual components.

Voice message pause/play

Following the recording of the voice message, the option to listen to it has become available. Taking things a step further, while recording a voice message you now have the option to pause it or take a break during recording.

The record button that is displayed on the screen needs to be pressed in order to pause the message. Once this is done, the recording of the voice message will end. By pressing the record button or using the microphone, you can record the message from that location once more. Prior to sending, you have the option to listen to or preview the message.

Out of Chat Replay

If you want to name this feature using simple language, you can refer to it as the picture in a picture, also known as PIP without a picture. You can watch the video on YouTube using a feature called PIP, which allows you to see what’s happening in the background of your phone. You can also listen to WhatsApp voice messages main screen using the Out Of Chat Playback feature, or even after you’ve exited the app entirely.

Even if you close the app after the voice message has finished, it will continue to play in the background if you have it set to do so. If you navigate to the home screen by pressing the back button while inside the app, the voice message will continue to play upward like a popup window. While you listen to the message, do some other work or type another message.

Playback speed

Prior to the development of this function, it was only possible to listen to or play back voicemails at normal speed. However, you can now listen to WhatsApp voice messages at 1.5X or 2X the normal speed as well. The good news is that WhatsApp will remember this setting on its end as well. It means that if you have the speed set to 1.5X, then the voice message will be played back at the same speed the next time it is listened to.

Continue to playback

This feature was most likely conceived of after listening to the Millennial’s chatter. In most of their conversation together, they stick to using very brief words. Like ok/bye/hello/where. It used to be difficult to read it when it was done through WhatsApp voice messages. But now it is simple to read it on the chat window.

It used to be the case that only one voice message would play at a time. And in order to hear the second one, the user would need to press the play button once more. Currently, this will not take place. If there are four WhatsApp voice messages at the same time, all of them will be played.

Waveform visualization

Even though this feature won’t have much of an impact, it can still be considered a form of visual delight. To have something that is pleasing to the eyes is to have a visual delight. When you record a voice message from now on, the recording will have the appearance of a web form. Will present a more aesthetically pleasing appearance than the previous flat line.

Voicemail Privacy in public

As of right now, so many features have come only for WhatsApp voice messages. You don’t always want to hear that voicemail in front of everyone. When circumstances are like this, it may not be in your best interest to listen to the message being conveyed by the speaker. Now, if you have headphones, there won’t be a problem, but other than that, no. If that is not the case, put the phone to your ear and press the play button. Now the magic will take place, and you will be the only one who hears the message.

The addition of new features to WhatsApp is not a novel concept. Over the last year, the company has been constantly developing new features for its customers. A slew of new features has been added to the voice message.

However, all of the Voice messages features added to this platform in the last few months point in that direction. The features associated with voice messages have been gradually rolled out. It may surprise you to learn that WhatsApp voice messages did not debut until 2013. WhatsApp now allows users to preview voice messages before sending them. It is now possible to preview WhatsApp voice messages before sending them to the recipient, thanks to the new feature.
