Why you should not buy a DSLR
DSLRs are expensive
Digital single-lens reflex cameras have ridiculously inflated price tags. When compared to the cost of a mobile phone, the expense of purchasing a DSLR camera is nearly twice as high. This is typically the case due to the fact that DSLR cameras are derived from tried-and-true photography. Manufacturers of cameras including Canon and Nikon are included here.
If we’re talking about mobile phones, you won’t have to spend that much on one. In addition to that, you can use it for a variety of other purposes. The quality, on the other hand, would not be on par with DSLR cameras. However, the quality of the cameras found in mobile phones these days is continually improving at a rapid speed.
You can get some practice with the camera on your phone first before investing in a dedicated digital single-lens reflex camera.
DSLRs are large and heavy
In the majority of cases, the dimensions of the camera are irrelevant when it comes to the production of motion pictures. At the end of the day, everything comes down to the video recording quality that you have available. However, there is something to be said about shooting on a camera that is highly portable, especially when shooting live events such as weddings and other live events.
If you are going to be shooting all day on a shoulder rig, Glidecam, or Steadicam, you probably don’t want to use a large camera like the URSA Mini or even a large DSLR.
Instead, you should consider using a camera that is more compact, like the RED Epic.
When we talk about mobile phones, we can talk about how convenient they are to carry around with you. Simply putting it in your pocket and going places with it is the easiest way to do so. You do not need to bring any specialized gear to transport the item. They are convenient and have an exceptional hold on things.
There is no question that mobile phones offer a significantly higher level of convenience in comparison to DSLR cameras.

I’d like to tell you about my personal history. When I first started working as a Youtuber. I was new and had only finally started filming with a bare phone. And even though the video was not in 4k, I received a lot of love from my subscribers, whom I refer to as my family. I also edit videos on my phone because it is more convenient and accessible to me.
At the moment, I’m shooting videos with a DSLR. However, I still prefer to edit videos on my phone.
What I mean is that your content is not dependent on the camera’s quality. The quality of your content is how good is your content. If your content is capable of engaging viewers. You don’t need a DSLR then.
You can buy DSLRs whenever you want with the money you earn from your job. Don’t consider it as a startup budget. Again, your work is not dependent on your DSLR; Is a DSLR camera necessary, it is entirely dependent on your content.
