Which inverter is best for my Home?

It’s now summer. Frequent power outages make it hard to go about our daily lives. At night, it’s more annoying and hard. After a long day, you and your family need to sleep, but you can’t because the power is out. When the power goes out, we get hot. Now, when the power goes out, the inverter is what you need. Buying an inverter is a good idea. There are a few things to think about before choosing an inverter.

How many types of investors are there in total?

There are three types of inverters:

1-Sine Wave

A sine wave is usually made by a generator that is run by a local power company. All of the equipment on the market is made for it, which is a benefit. The Sine Wave is the investor with the most money. You can use toasters, microwaves, and other appliances.

2-Modified Sine Wave

It uses a square wave inverter. This inverter does a great job. The noise is louder with the modified sine wave. All appliances that use AC power, like compressors, microwaves, and refrigerators, work well.

3-Square Wave

The least expensive inverters are those that use square waves. Simple devices are powered by a square wave inverter. Square wave inverters are almost unnoticeable in the market today. Low-voltage devices, like lights and fans, can be used with this inverter. This inverter doesn’t work well with modern power sources like laptops, refrigerators, water geysers, etc.

What should I check before buying an inverter?

  1. You need to be able to use electricity.
  2. The VA rating of the inverter
  3. What kind of battery does the inverter need to work?
  4. The level of safety
  5. Use a cart with an inverter.
  6. A longer warranty period.

Go back to the start. The most important thing is to choose the right inverter. The right kind of battery and the right size or amount.

1.  Your power requirements

First, you need to figure out how much backup you need. Or how many backup devices you want to use.

You can make your choice based on this table.

Appliances Requirements for Power
Fan 80
Tube light 40
CFL 20
LED Bulbs 7
Television 120

Let’s say you want to back up two fans, one tube light, one CFL, one LED, and a TV. So the math goes like this:

( 2×80+1×40+1×20+1×7+120) =447 watts

You need a 447-watt inverter now that you know what you need.

2. Inverter Capacity Calculator

Your inverter’s capacity is based on how much load it has to handle. The formula is the total amount of weight that needs to be carried divided by the power factor.

Volt Amperes, or VA, are used to measure the capacity of an inverter. It is very important to check the VA rating. The VA rating is often written on the box or in the inverter’s manual. In the last example, we figured out how much power we would need.

The inverter needs to have a VA rating of 447/0.8, which is 558.75VA.

As a result, you can choose any inverter starting at 650VA.

3. Home Wiring

Ask your electrician to come check your home’s wiring to see if it has a backup power source. If you require a backup for certain objects in your home, such as one fan or one CFL, the wiring must be adjusted accordingly.

4. Price Range

The cost is determined by your needs and the brand. There are both offline and online solutions available. There are also easy ways to deal with EMI in inverters. A typical inverter for a home costs between 14,000 and 19,000 Rupees. If you’re going to buy something online, you should check other sites to see how it’s rated and if there are any deals going on.

I hope this post has helped you and your family find the best inverter for you. Don’t forget to use an inverter calculator and tell your family and friends what you’ve learned.
